Dance Teacher Jobs – what we offer:

All our wedding dance teachers must have these qualities:

• Level 3 (or higher) qualification
• Accreditation from a recognized dance body, such as ISTD, RAD, NATD, IDTA, or similar, or a UCAS-approved educational qualification (or equivalent if obtained outside the UK). Or via an organisation accredited by CDMT (Council For Dance, Drama & Musical Theatre)
• Public Liability Insurance for Dance Tuition.
• Reliability and professionalism
• Experience teaching adult beginners.
• A passion for creating simple, effective choreography.
• A friendly teaching style focused on building confidence.

Who are our dance teachers? Our work is so flexible that it fits many different dance careers and personal situations. Some of our dance teachers run their own dance studios, whilst others teach at different studios, schools, colleges and universities. Many of our wedding dance teachers are parents, working part-time or full time. Some focus entirely on dance, while others have jobs in other industries alongside teaching. We also have teachers who work on cruise ships, West End productions or tours and teach wedding dance when they are on a break from their contracts.

Jobs Teaching Dance – Did you know?

• You do not need to be a qualified ballroom dance teacher to be a wedding dance teacher.
• Although weddings happen all year around, the majority are seasonal, and most weddings happen March-October.
• Wedding couples are the BEST students. They are super enthusiastic, practise and appreciate your work, as the skills you teach them are for the most important day of their lives. As a result, teaching wedding dance gives great job satisfaction.
• When you teach dance for Wedding Day Dance UK, that is all you have to do. We take care of everything to do with organising and money. We only ask our dance teachers to do what they do best – teach dance! Then send in your invoice, so we can pay you promptly for your well-deserved work.
