Typically, couples prefer to have lessons at home, but if you would like to take yours in a studio, we can advise you on where is good to hire locally.
You don’t need any dance experience to take our wedding dance lessons and even if you have four left feet between you, that is fine! Your dance will be created to suit your song, ability and natural style. It will suit you perfectly, making you look your very best. Because your dance is created bespoke for you, it won’t be too difficult and will be achievable, which makes learning together much more fun.
Wedding Dance Lessons Warrington - How To Book
To book your wedding dance lessons in Warrington, your first step is to send a Booking Form. Once we have your form, we will email you some suggested dates and times for your wedding dance lessons. We know that wedding planning is hectic (as can be life in Warrington!) so lessons are scheduled in advance for dates and times that suit you. Evenings and daytimes are possible, as are weekends and weekdays. Once you are happy with your schedule, we will send you an invoice and once that is paid, your lessons are confirmed.
You can choose any song for your first dance, it doesn’t have to be a typical ‘first dance’ song. Whatever your musical taste, culture or style, all songs can be catered for. Sometimes couples struggle to choose a song, which is totally understandable, as there is so much choice. We are really happy to help and advise you, using our expertise to guide you towards songs that would be ideal. However, ultimately encouraging you make the final decision, after all it is your first dance.

Happy Couple: Katie & Tom
Song: Brooklyn Bridge by Lee DeWyze
Detail: Katie and Tom had no dance experience when they started their wedding dance lessons. They worked hard and by the last lesson had learnt an elegant, classic dance, that they could perform with confidence.
They said: “Learning a first wedding dance was one of the best things we did. It meant we didn’t have to stress about it on the day and we knew exactly what we were doing. I would highly recommend it!”

Wedding Dance Lessons FAQs
Do you have wedding dance lessons near me in Warrington?
Yes! Our team of wedding dance teachers covers the entire UK, so whether you live in a village, town or city, you can take our classes.
We cover the whole country, coast to coast, from John o’Groats to Land’s End and everywhere in between!
Where do lessons take place?
For your convenience and privacy, wedding dance lessons take place in the comfort of your own home. They are ‘in-person’ not online, meaning your dance teacher will travel to you. Taking lessons at home means you can learn in a relaxed atmosphere without distraction. It also saves you travel time in the hectic lead up to your big day. However, if you’d rather learn to dance in a hall or studio, that’s no problem. Some of our dance teachers have their own studios, but if yours doesn’t, we can let you know where can be hired in your local area.
How long are lessons?
All wedding dance lessons are 90 minutes, so 1.5 hours. We feel this is the ideal lesson length because it allows time for your teacher to explain and answer all your questions, as you learn and practise the steps they create for you. Consequently, you will have a calm, effective learning experience, without feeling rushed or stressed. Also, if you need to take a short break, you can take a rest and reset, ready to go again!
How much space do we need?
If you both stretch your arms out to the side and turn on the spot without bumping into anything, you are marking out the minimum that we could work with. So, if your space is bigger than this, you have enough space! It’s roughly 3m x 3m. Of course, bigger is better, so we encourage you make your space as large as possible. For example, you could push back the furniture to maximise your homemade dance floor!
Are you surprised that you don’t need more room? Here’s an explanation… I’m sure you’ve seen the dancers on Strictly Come Dancing whoosh across the floor? Their costumes are light, and the dresses are never longer than ankle length. On the other hand, wedding dresses are floor length and often heavy, making it much more difficult to travel quickly across a dance floor. Therefore, this is why you don’t need as much space as you might expect to learn your first wedding dance.
What if we don’t have enough room?
That’s fine, as we can teach you somewhere else, such as a dance studio, function room, hall or leisure centre.
When you complete the Booking Form, we will ask whether you would like lessons at home or in a studio, as well as your address. Then, we can provide you with more precise information about space hire options in your local area, as they vary so much. For example, city locations are typically more expensive than rural locations. Also, halls are cheaper than dance studios.
Some of our teachers prefer to work from their own studios and these charges range from minimal to completely free of charge. Interestingly, if you are a gym member, it’s always a great idea to enquire about the studio space, as some gyms allow members to use it for free.
Also, when hiring space, you will probably be asked if the teacher has Public Liability Insurance, and the answer is always yes.
When will the lessons be?
When you fill out your Booking Form, you’ll notice that we ask when is convenient for you. Weekdays, weekends, daytimes and evenings are all options, as is a mixture of these, as you don’t have to have classes on the same day each week. Then, according to your teacher’s availability, we will make suggestions for you to choose from. You can be confident that the schedule will suit your lifestyle and will fit around your commitments.
What if we need to reschedule?
That’s fine! All we need it 48 hours’ notice and we can either re-arrange (if possible) or refund. To read more on this, here are the Terms & Conditions.
How can I pay?
We offer several options of payment, accepting direct bank transfer, Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay and Apple Pay. Once you are happy with your schedule, we will send you an invoice. You’ll have three days to pay and once you do, your lessons are confirmed. We are proud to operate in this way, because we feel it’s important that the lesson schedule suits you, before you commit financially. Importantly, there are no hidden costs, we don’t charge extra for travel or VAT and we don’t require deposits.
How far ahead should we take lessons?
Around six weeks before your wedding day is ideal, although it depends on what works best for you, so some couples chose to start earlier. It’s a personal choice that will depend on everything else you have going on. For example, you might have busy work commitments or a pre-booked holiday in the six weeks before your wedding.
We feel that six weeks is long enough to learn and practice, because it allows plenty of time for the lessons. However, it’s not so early that you’ll forget your dance steps before your wedding day! Also, it’s beneficial for your dance to be fresh in your mind, without having learnt so far in advance that you are bored of it by the time your big day arrives.
But, if you have less than 6 weeks to go, don’t worry – contact us and we’ll see if we can work our magic. We once organised lessons for a couple just three days before their wedding!
How much time should there be between lessons?
Ideally there will be 5-10 days between lessons, as hopefully it will allow you time to practise. For instance, if there’s a large gap between lessons, the momentum of learning can be a bit slow. However, if this is your only option don’t worry, as there are ways around it. For example, you could film yourself at the end of your previous lesson as a reminder should you forget anything.
What if we don’t have a first dance song?
That’s OK! We are very happy to advise you and help you choose your first dance song. It’s a great idea to make a short list of songs you like, as this becomes the starting point to finding the song that’s perfect for you. Here are some ideas for First Dance Songs For Weddings and Unusual First Wedding Dance Songs.
