QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:
What will our first dance be like?
In one word ‘unique’. It will be tailor made to suit you both and what you both want.
Our professional dance teachers will choreograph your routine according to the style of your song, your dance experience and the amount of time you have available to practice, making learning your first dance for your wedding reception stress free and fun! If you have never danced before it is no problem, our dance teachers can teach all abilities.
If you have any ideas our choreographers love to hear them, the more personal your dance, the happier we are.
What will our dance teacher be like?
Wedding Day Dance UK teachers are experienced professionals and are based all over the UK.
Between them they have impressive teaching, choreographing and performing credentials, click here to see some examples.
When will the lessons be?
On dates and at times that are convenient for you.
Where will the lessons be held?
Wedding Day Dance UK is Nationwide – where you are, we are.
All lessons are private and for your convenience in your own home, we come to you.
How much space do we need?
Once you’ve pushed the furniture back, a cleared room is usually sufficient. If you don’t have space in your home, we can come to family or friends homes or even use your garden! If space is a problem we can help you find somewhere to hire.
We have no experience, are nervous, have two left feet and no rhythm – are we beyond help?
NO! Our dance teachers are experienced at teaching beginners and because all routines are tailor made, the choreography will suit your ability and experience perfectly.
When should we book our first dance lessons?
Ideally you should book about 3 months in advance, but the more advance notice we have the better the availability of our dance teachers, however, we will always try to work within time constraints.
Ideally lessons should be 10 days – 2 weeks apart.
Do we have to practise?
As your dance is tailor made, your first dance teacher will choreograph your routine taking into account how much time you have available for practising. You might find it useful to video your classes to assist with practising, and it is always a good idea to keep a pen and paper handy!
What should we wear in first dance lessons?
It is really beneficial to wear shoes similar to what you will be wearing on your big day. We advise that you don’t wear the actual shoes in case you scratch them.
How do we choose our wedding music?
There isn’t such a thing as the wrong song, but it can be hard to choose the right one. Whether it‘s romantic, fun or just plain crazy, we can choreograph to anything!
